I went to the home and garden store today and it was packed full of Christmas decorations! :gingerhouse: :christmastree: I couldn't resist picking up a few odd bits http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k199/tasha-cat-mad/Smileys/blush.gif

I got some more snowey / icey baubles and hanging decorations for my tree, a train advent calander with draws in it that pull out, a train snow globe set, a musical tree snow globe and a couple of snow man ornaments :-) They have loads more and I wanted it all but couldn't justify spending more today. I'll definately be going back before December, though! I want to get some window stickers, too :home:

It's so exciting seeing the rest of the world starting to acknowledge the Christmas season approaching (as opposed to just us Christmas nuts! :xmastounge:). The spirit of Christmas becomes even more tangible once everybody is feeling it a little bit :treedance:

In the fall, I say "When will they put the garden stuff away and bring out the Christmas items?" Then every week that I go to Walmart, I head straight for the garden center and check their progress. The last time I went they had just stocked one aisle with ornaments. I didn't buy anything, but I was excited!

I'm happy for you that you got new purchases.

I can't wait to get my decorations up now! I may even do it before December this year! I usually wait until a week before Christmas but I'm just too excited and in love with the season! I'm thinking the tree will come out on the last day of November this year :yahoo:

You're kidding right? We put our tree the day after Thanksgiving. I start working on the outdoor stuff the week after Halloween!! I don't officially flip the switch until Thanksgiving Night though. That's kind of the unwritten rule around these parts. Most people go "live" with their outside lights on Thanksgiving night.

I went Christmas (present) shopping today and managed to resist buying new decorations... Marks and Spencer have some beautiful stuff in, though and I want it! Earmarked in my mind for another day :xmaswink:

I ordered a gift for my wife online today.

Exciting! :santa-smiley: I bought my husband a LEGO book yesterday... It's a PITA that I just googled it to find a link for here, though and discovered that I paid £16.99 in store when the website charges £10.19! And even worse, it is apparently available online for even less... I'm almost tempted to return it to the store and order it online!

I bought some stuff online today ... nothing terribly exciting just cheap core 'filler' ornaments and a few bits and pieces for craft work which I wanted.

There's some lovely stuff out there but most of what I want is very pricey !!! Still there's always the after Christmas sales !!:reindeer2:

Earmarked in my mind for another day :xmaswink:How could you resist?:elf1: I looked at the M&S site, also John Lewis & Selfridges..... Lots of 'winter white' this year.

Nice stuff ... I too had to resist as the international shipping is costly ... hence no purchases :xmaswink:
