Hopefully, a granddaughter will help me decorate the main 40" tree. A grandson will do a blue and silver 31" tree(he chose the colors). Their brother will do a toy-themed 31" tree in our eating area. And I always have a tree in the guest room (year round).

WOW...4 trees. We have one 7 footer in the living room and a small 4 footer in the basement playroom that my son decorates (over and over again!!)

That's great! I like 7' trees. But it's too hard for me to carry the pieces up from the basement. The only reason I'm having all these small trees is so that each of the three siblings gets to decorate one. And I'm going to help them with placing the ornaments. The youngest one was afraid he wouldn't know how to decorate a tree.

Some of the blue and silver ornaments (the mini snow globe has a penguin inside):

I'll be changing those red ribbons.

Awesome! We only have the one tree in my house, but space is an issue. Not to mention the little fngers - I'll have a big enough job keeping them away from one tree ;) I'd love to have more trees in the future, though :-) I like the idea of having a tree for each of the kids to decorate as they like. Maybe when we get a bigger house and the girls are older they can have a tree each in their bedrooms :-)

Where did you get the penguine snow globe from? I love it! :elf1:

We are grandparents of eleven grandchildren. Three of them who have the same parents are ages 10, 8, and 6. They are the ones who will decorate the trees and I'll advise them on where to hang the ornaments.

Just my husband and I live here now, and the house is 1,400 square feet (=? meters). The trees are all somewhat small so they will be placed on furniture that we have.

I tried to find the penguin ornament online. They evidently had it at Restoration Hardware as part of a set, but they no longer carry it. I found mine at an American store called Hobby Lobby.

Other members have seen the pic of our spare bedroom tree that stays decorated year round:

If you're finding the big tree to much work, I think this is a great solution.:elf3:

We still have to keep fragile ornaments higher on the tree. My boys simply cannot resist fiddling with the ornaments!!

I remember those days Mike. It seemed as though the kids would never stop touching the ornaments. I would put the non-breakable ones at the bottom and the more delicate ones on top. I would also secure the delicate ones by twisting the metal ornament hooks around the branch several times!

I will probably have at least 3 trees. My daughters each put up a small one (18-24 inch)in their bedrooms, and I have an 8 foot one in the living room. If I ever find my white tree, it will go up in the den. If I don't find it, I may purchase another 3' tree. I really want to do a themed tree - maybe dolls with blue bows, beads and topper!
