2 cups water
1/4 cup oil
2 eggs
2 boxes quick bread mix
2 cups raisins
2 cups pecans
1 large fruit cake mix
Heat oven to 350 degrees
grease and flour bottom of pans
In large bowl combine water, oil, eggs beat well
Add all remaining ingredients stir by hand until combined.
Pour into greased & floured pans
Bake at 350 for 1 hour and 25 minutes.
This is my dad's favorite for the season Mom and I both make him a batch of it!

My husband loves fruitcake but I didn't know that there's a fruitcake mix. What brand is it? Or is it a container of candied fruit?
Is it 3/4 pound mixed candied fruit?

yes that is what mom calls fruit cake mix is the candied fruit.:waving:

Thanks...I may try that sometime if the grandkids aren't over to visit all the time.

you and your hubby will like it. I used banana nut quick bread mixes but mom used nut bread and date bread mixes. :snowman:
I can't wait to make some myself. Maybe thanksgiving day mom and I can make some after the big meal is over!:christmastree:

I bought two boxes of banana nut bread mix because that is all that they had at our Walmart. But I didn't have the recipe with me and I forgot the pecans.
