I remember back when I was in 7th grade, we made these pretty oragami-esque ornaments. I'll try and find a link for them.

I love the idea for it but a lot of people don't have the artistic touch and they don't look so awesome... like my brother.

I prefer working with paper or felt.

Here are some felt decorations that I've made:

I know what a balloon is. That's not what he said. :singing:

He most likely meant balloons! It's a word that commonly gets misspelled. Not rvryone is perfect with their spelling and/or typing.

A great idea for handmade decorations is to paint your own glass ornaments.
Check this one out:

I painted this one a few weeks ago. It shows a rabbit looking up at a snowman's carrot nose and he says, "I like your nose".

I have a website where you can probably get ideas for your own project:

Tried a couple of things for handmade tree decorations this year:

Parcels (see picture) - just a small box wrapped in some nice paper with ribbon.

Also made some small 'Pom Poms', they're fun and easy to make but take a while, so good if you want to keep someone entertained! Easy explanation here, if you are not familiar: http://www.kid-craft-central.com/pom-poms.html

Wonderful talent you have, Marshmallow World! Just beautiful. I was searching the net for some christmassy items to make, in advance, so thanks for the paperchain link template - very cute!
