I'm getting so jealous! I won't start decorating until November 27th - after my Thanksgiving guests leave!

About 25 years ago, I used to decorate the second weekend in December. About 15 years ago, I decorated the first weekend in December and for the last 5 or so years, its been right after Thanksgiving. I have so much stuff now to put up and not as much energy! HaHa!

A few more years and you could be up to the beginning of November..:elf1:

Nah ... I always host Thanksgiving Dinner and don't like to mix those two holidays. Thanksgiving colors are a different palate - golds, oranges, browns! Maybe if someone else would take over the Thanksgiving dinner duties - I could!!!

I'm considering a small tree to put in the boys' playroom. It's cool to have more than one tree.

Yep, its great to have more than one but finding space for them is even harder..

I'm more nervous about them "destroying" it!! There's a little 4-ft pre-lit tree at a local store for only $20. I figure it's a small cost to incur.

I have that same problem. I like to have my tree done by Thanksgiving because it takes so long to put up. But, I too host Thanksgiving. Last year, we had pumpkins out and the tree up. It didn't feel right. Not sure what to do. My husband and kids are wanting to put it up now.

We actually have 2 Christmas trees. We bought a very expensive one when we first got married. Then, after our first child was born, we realized we weren't going to be able to use the "big" one in the living room, since our house is small, and there's too much other stuff in there now. So, I had to buy a cheaper "slim" tree. Now, instead of using our nice one, we have to use the slim one until we move!!! Lord, I can't wait to use the big one again!! I try to make the most of it though.

Aw wow I am so jealous! We have only one tree because our bungalow is quite small. I am not allowed to decorate until at least a week into Christmas :-( Hubby's rules. I might just surprise him this year, though and he'll come home from work to find the place decorated from top to bottom! lol

Can't wait to set mine up. I think there will be three trees this year. The main one in the living room, a medium sized white tree with blue decorations in the downstairs den, and a small tree with mini ornaments in my daughter's room!

I'm thinking of replacing my white garland with sheer white ribbon this year. Any ideas on how much I should buy for a 7 foot tree?

I love the ribbon too! I used ribbon last year but I used it in one long piece. It never looked right. I will try and just put pieces where I want. Thanks Tinkerbell!

very pretty tree and just fits that area perfect. I love the slimmer trees for places like that - you can tuck them in little noons and crannies. We have a 9ft tree in the main part of the house but I put up about 13 other ones in all the bedrooms, kitchen porches and anywhere else I can find a spot for one - love this time of year .....
