I think it would look odd when you have too many of them.

What a beautiful tree and I agree that if to many it would take away.

I use small lights and lots of them.

My Mom bought a great pre-lit artificial tree last year. It has two different sets of lights on it (white and multi-coloured), so you can light the tree to suit your mood. Now I want one!

Yeah, they're so easy to assemble. I like them too. But I think they're a bit expensive. :rudolph:

Prelit's are also very heavy. They are mostly metal.

Prelits have their pros and cons:
Pros: 1. Easy, easy, easy
2. Simple, simple, simple

Cons: 1. May be difficult to replace a strand that goes out.
2. Heavy
3. Usually have to choose clear or multi strands. Can not switch it up or use another solid color
4.Usually alittle more expensive

I love my pre-lit. The ease and time saved are worth the cons!

I have the small multi colored lights on my tree, but after seeing Olga's picture I think I might change. All my ornaments are old fashioned (mostly European blown glass) and those candles would add to the look.

I love the small tree lights and they make it look even better than the bigger ones. The small tree lights have become very easy to find as well. The bigger ones make it look clumsy.

I think it depends upon the look and shape of the tree. I use the small lights -clear

We use the small lights. Don't like the Big ones.

we prefer small as they blend in better and not over power the rest of the decorations

I have the small white lights. My tree isn't very big so it probably wouldn't make sense to get bigger lights.

I think, big ones are the best for the outside decoration..
I love small ones, too...

I have a multi-colored pre-lit tree. However, I add 2 strings of C7 multis and a set of twinkling minis, as well as a set of multi-function micro LEDs. My tree is serious lights!! I like the mixture of minis and C7s. Oh, and the star on top is an LED that changes colors continuously.

I know the attraction of the big tree lights. It took me along time to give them up. The small ones tend to light the tree more evenly and in a more subtle way!

We will be putting it up on November 27th. I will try to remember to post a photo. Although, it's kind of embarrassing because it's really no big deal...just a regular ol' Christmas tree. :sad elf:

I use a strand of cool white C9 led down the middle pole of the tree, then the tree gets wrapped with strands of C3 cool white led's and the angel on the top is multi-colored LED.
I may do white mini-led next year, I prefer the smaller lights all over the tree but the inside lighting that the C9 give will stay.
