Does anyone here collect xmas nutcrackers? I do. I have since I was 11 or so, and I've accumulated nearly 20 to date. Some fit in the palm of my hand and others stand nearly 3.5 feet tall. My favourite one is a German nutcracker my mom bought for me a few years back. Maybe I'll post some pics of my collection one of these days.

I do not collect too, I wish I did!! :santa:

How funny, a close friend of mine sent me 3 days ago, a dvd with the Nutcracker + Xmas Carol, in one ballet performance..
I loved the combination of those two stories, can you imagine Scrooge and Clara dancing together?

Anyway, we are awaiting for your photos, as, Nutracker is one of my fav Christmas stories, too..

I do have a small collection of nutcrackers - 9 or 10 of them. Most of them represent a country - 2 Irish, 1 American, i British, 1 Italian, 2 Russian etc. They range in size from 2 inches to 18 inches and are inexpensive.

I used to collect them but I don't know what I did with them, but I would like to start collecting them again. I do however have a tiny one and a few ornaments.

My Mom collects nutcrackers, only started a couple years ago, she has about 20-30 or so, ranging in sizes. I thought I had a photo on this site with them, but maybe not. I'll definitly be sharing more photos this year!

I came across this Christmas dinnerware called "GRENADIERS". It's expensive but to use a piece or two for decoration would not be so bad.

All my nutcrackers are put away for the year, so I won't likely get a chance to take a picture of them until xmas time. I did find a pic of my favourite nutcracker online, though:

Ain't he a beaut? The only difference between this pic and my nutcracker is that mine has some grey mixed into his beard.

I have about 35 nutcrackers. I love them but it is getting harder to display so many.

Well, it's that time of year and I've finally managed to get out the old nutcrackers. Here are some pics of them:
This is my biggest nutcracker, about as tall as my waist:

These guys are pretty big, too, maybe knee-high or so:

Here are some of my faves. I especially like the third from the left in this photo. He's a real German nutcracker that my mother bought for me:

I also really like the guy on the right in this pic. He's got the perfect Xmas motif going on:

And lastly, the rest. I really like the stout, portly feller in the middle:

Hopefully I'll get another this Xmas to add to my collection! :presents2:

Jordan - love your collection and such a variety of sizes. It was well worth the wait to see your collection. I especially like the short fat one - have never seen one like that before - he certainly has character. I have one that my late husband bought me right after we got married - about 43 years old now and he is a real German made one. Thanks for sharing your collection with us .....

Small nutcrackers are reasonably priced - the large ones can get expensive!

I'd love to see a pic of that old nutcracker if you've got one handy, lynnenc.

Here's hoping I get another one to add to my collection in a few days... :presents2:

Well, I got some nice nutcracker tree ornaments for Xmas this year, but my biggest prize was a real German Steinbach nutcracker:

http://ep.yimg.com/ca/I/123gosteinbach_2139_36811669

The quality of this thing is fantastic -- not hard to tell it cost a pretty penny. It's the pinnacle of my collection. Not sure if it's even worth asking for any more!
