Merry Christmas Darling

I hope I'm not still on Santa's naughty list. My younger brother and I were very close. One December he told me where the Christmas gifts were hidden. I followed him to the hiding place and we both peeked at our gifts. Then we heard our mother coming and he quickly jumped out the window. I wasn't fast enough. Mother didn't punish me, but since we barely received any gifts, it wasn't much fun to not be surprised on Christmas Eve. However, the memory of our little escapade still makes me chuckle. :elf1:

Christmas 1959 - I was 3 years old. My favorite uncle was coming from NYC to our home in Central NYS for the holidays. I vividly remember picking him up at the train station and being amazed that he actually rode on the train! It was snowing heavily and he arrived with his arms full of gifts! It was just like in the movies!

Welcome to allthingschristmas, clobeau! I hope I do not offend you by letting you know that, at least for me, your post is difficult to read, because it is so faint. Anyway, I hope you enjoy our time here.:presents1:

My favorite memory... It's probably when I was maybe 10 years old. Me and my 3 cousins went outside to build a snowman and play snow fight on Christmas Eve when it was already dark outside:smitten: It snowed pretty hard that day and we had loads of fluffy snow:smitten::elf3::snowman::smitten:
That was absolutely :merrychristmas::smitten:

My favorite Christmas was back in the good old days when I was a kid and the whole family got together for the holidays, ate dinner together, opened a gazillion presents (one time, we all bought presents for each other: cousins, aunts, uncles,...). Wrapping paper covered the entire living room floor! Nowadays, it's nothing like it used to be, though it's still nice.

I don't exactly have one christmas memory that is special to me, it's just the same things we do every year. My parents are divorced and my mom is remarried so every other year since I was young we spent Christmas eve there and then the next year my brother and I would go to my Dad's and my step-brothers would go to their Mom's. I love when we're at my Mom's place but I really love when Christmas eve was at my Dad's (like it is this year!). It was especially nice later in life when it was just me and my Dad. During most of the year my Dad and I have difficulty not fighting about every little thing, but at Christmas when I put up his decorations and when we spend Christmas Eve together we just shut up, get along and have a nice sweet time together. It's my favourite thing about Christmas. Sappy eh? lol, anyone else have heartwarming christmas stories?
