Last Christmas season I bought Ghirardelli Milk Chocolate Shortbread Cookie Mix. It had three packs of cookie mix in the box and the milk chocolate. I baked two packs at Christmas and used up all the Ghirardelli chocolate kisses. Today I baked the rest and used Hershey's chocolate kisses left from Valentine's Day. Yummy! My seven-year-old grandson says he only likes the chocolate in the center! Well, the shortbread hadn't spoiled because you add the melted butter when you mix the dough.

If you want to make some from scratch, these are similar:

Brown-Eyed Susans

1 1/2 c. Bisquick (biscuit mix)
2 (3 oz.) pkg. instant vanilla pudding mix
1/3 c. cooking oil
2 eggs
1 pkg. milk chocolate kisses

Combine Bisquick, pudding mix, cooking oil and eggs; mix well. Drop from teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet. Top each with a chocolate kiss; press to flatten. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-14 minutes.
