And thats basically the reason I m searching for little Christmas shops, with special things and not expensive.. You can always find those shops, it just needs time.. and love for Christmas..

Slow day here today, but that’s a good thing. My employer likes to see me sitting around with not much to do. If I’m busy then something is broke down and he’s not making any money. 2 hours to go then it’s off to the house.

After the big tree I’ll start on the tree in the study then the tree on the train layout. I have a new tree for the layout this year. If the nice weather holds I’ll start on the outside lights this weekend. I don’t think I’ll be done with everything by Thanksgiving this year.

well I think the turkey features in there, cooked meats of all descriptions, boiled,

I have 220 ornaments on the tree so far,(someone asked me last year how many I had on the tree my reply was A bunch so I thought I would count them this year and see) I have about 60 left but now I’m down to filling in the bare spots. I have never been able to find a garland I liked with the glass ornaments so I just cover every inch of it with ornaments.:christmastree:

We have 8ft livingroom which is all glass, put stairs is 6ft red/gold and hallway is
6ft slim tree in rust,dark brown/cream colour and kitchen has 4 garlands in kiddy
theme snowmen and candy..

My youngest daughter, who is 17 now, saw part of that when it was on tv at least a few years ago, and wasn't really into it and didn't like all the singing. So, ever since then, sometimes when she does something nice for me, I start singing, "thank you very much. thank you very much. that's the nicest thing that anyone's ever done for me." etc.. she'll start protesting, "no no, staaaaaaaaaahhhhhhp!" lol, drives her up the wall. I think that if she would just give it a chance and actually watch the whole thing, she might find that she likes it.
